I don’t really want to be good. A good person. I don’t really want to be good. A good person. A good woman. With a good family. A good career. A good life. With some good thoughts.

I want to be great.

let go of the life you have planned

July 24, 2024

Picture this: You’re standing on the shore, ready to explore the vast ocean of life. You’ve got your color-coded planner, your detailed roadmap, and your daydreams of a perfectly executed life plan. But life, has a wicked sense of humor. It hands you a Missed Exit sign and tells you to navigate the roads of uncertainty.

But fear not, for I am here to share some wisdom (or at least try). You see, I’ve had my fair share of unplanned detours, unexpected diversions, and a few “are you kidding me?” moments along the way. And let me tell you, embracing the art of letting go is like doing yoga while riding a unicycle – it requires balance, flexibility, and a sprinkle of humor.

So, how do we ride the waves of uncertainty when our GPS seems to have taken a coffee break? Well, my darling, it’s all about surrendering control and finding joy in the unexpected. Trust me, I know it’s easier said than done, but let’s give it a shot, shall we?

First, we need to release our iron grip on that meticulously crafted life plan. Say goodbye to color-coded spreadsheets and hello to the unknown. It’s like accidentally stumbling into a secret dance party – you don’t know what moves to expect, but you might just bust a move and have a blast.

Next up, let’s find humor in the chaos. Life can be a bit of a jester, throwing us curveballs that leave us scratching our heads in confusion. But hey, isn’t it more fun to laugh at the absurdity of it all? So go ahead, chuckle at the unexpected plot twists and remember that laughter is the closest thing we have to a magic potion.

Now, I’m not suggesting we completely abandon all sense of direction and embrace a free-spirited life of wandering aimlessly (although that does sound tempting at times). We still need a compass – a guiding light to help us navigate the uncharted waters. And that compass is our inner voice, our intuition.

Listen closely to that little voice inside you; it’s your co-pilot through the turbulence of life.

Last, let’s not forget the importance of connection. Life’s rollercoaster is much more enjoyable when we have fellow riders by our side. Seek out the support of friends, family, or even a well-trained squirrel who offers sage advice in the park. Sharing the journey makes the ups and downs feel less daunting and more like an epic group adventure.

So there you have it, my fellow explorer. Let go of the life you have planned and embrace the wild ride of uncertainty. Remember, even if the waves seem overwhelming, you’re wearing a kick-ass swimsuit and you know how to do the Macarena. So dive in, laugh often, and make the most of every unexpected twist and turn.

Until next time, keep riding those waves with style and a sense of humor.

Wishing you endless adventures,

T
